Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a mainboard and an SME IPO?
Mainboard IPOs list on the main NSE and BSE platforms and are usually larger companies. SME IPOs list on NSE Emerge or BSE SME, are smaller, need a higher minimum investment and carry more risk because trading is thinner.
How do I check IPO allotment status?
Visit the registrar's website named in the prospectus, or the BSE or NSE allotment page, and search with your PAN, application number or DP ID. Status is usually available the working day after the issue closes.
What is IPO GMP?
GMP, or grey market premium, is the unofficial price at which IPO shares change hands informally before listing. It is not regulated and often changes sharply, so treat it as a sentiment signal, not a forecast.
How many days after closing does an IPO list?
Under SEBI's T+3 timeline, shares usually list on the third working day after the issue closes. Holidays can push the date by a day or two.
How much can a retail investor apply for in an IPO?
Retail investors can bid up to ₹2 lakh in a mainboard IPO. Bids above that fall in the non-institutional category. UPI applications are allowed up to ₹5 lakh.
How we build this list
Every IPO on IPO24by7 is compiled from primary sources: the DRHP and RHP filed with SEBI and the exchanges, price band announcements and filings on BSE and NSE, and registrar notices. Each figure on an IPO page shows its source, and our own calculations are marked as ours. We do not copy data from other IPO websites. We update this page every working day and whenever a new filing appears.
IPO24by7 is an information platform. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or apply. Our methodology.
